Nebraska Extension and the Center for Agricultural Profitability at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln hosted a workshop covering agricultural land management and leasing considerations, on Feb. 1, 2023, at the office of Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County. It was part of the series of statewide meetings, "Climate and Farm Resiliency for the Next Generation."

The workshop offered updated leasing information relevant to landlords and tenants, including tips for communication and negotiating. It addressed topics like equitable rental rates, managing and adjusting farmland leases, landlord-tenant issues, pasture leasing, crop share leasing and other management considerations.

Presenters at this workshop were Allan Vyhnalek, an extension educator specializing in farm and ranch transition and succession; Jim Jansen, an extension agricultural economist; and Aaron Nygren, a crops systems extension educator. All are with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
