Farm and Ranch Financial Analysis Services
The Center for Agricultural Profitability offers free, one-on-one financial analysis services to help Nebraska farmers and ranchers better understand their financial position, evaluate options and plan next steps for their operation.
This confidential service is designed for producers who want support reviewing farm or ranch finances, working through debt management questions, preparing for conversations with lenders, or improving short- and long-term business planning.
Financial Analysis Economist David Haupt works directly with producers to review financial information, discuss goals and challenges, and identify practical options and resources. Questions? Email David.
How financial analysis can help
Through a one-on-one consultation, producers may receive support with:
- Reviewing balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
- Evaluating debt management options
- Developing or reviewing farm and ranch budgets
- Assessing cash flow projections and repayment capacity
- Preparing for lender conversations or loan applications
- Considering the financial impact of production, marketing or risk management decisions
- Identifying resources and next steps to support financial stability
The service is intended to provide clear, practical guidance that helps producers make informed decisions for their farm or ranch business. It does not replace legal, tax or lending advice, but it can help producers better understand their numbers and prepare for those conversations.
The materials are based upon work supported by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, under agreement number FSA22CPT0012189.
