POSITION TITLE	Agricultural Budget Calculator Intern
POSITION DESCRIPTION	Interested in learning more about farm and ranch enterprise budgeting and working with the Agricultural Budget Calculator (ABC) online program? The Center for Agricultural Profitability and the Agricultural Economics Department are promoting the new Ag Budget Calculator program for producers, farm managers, and agribusiness professionals to use in figuring cost of production (check it out here.)The annual Nebraska Crop budget data is updated in the program each year and we’ll soon release the livestock module for use. We would encourage an agriculture economics student to learn the ABC program and assist with entering budget information into the system.
ESTIMATED HOURS PER WEEK	6-8, varied with demand and season.
WAGE	$15/hour
DURATION OF WORK	Through the end of the 2024 spring semester, with an opportunity to continue in the position beyond that period.
STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS	Enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, preferably in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Coursework in farm and ranch management is helpful. Sophomore or junior.
