Communications Assistant |
POSITION DESCRIPTION |
Assist the Center for Agricultural Profitability’s (CAP) Communications Specialist with writing and digital marketing projects. Examples of work include but are not limited to:
- Create social media posts to promote CAP’s articles, events and resources to agricultural producers and professionals.
- Assist with maintaining the Center’s website, including posting new content and organizing existing content.
- Opportunities may also be available to assist with email marketing, graphic design, video and podcast production.
- Write articles for the Center’s website that summarize CAP’s weekly webinars, generally geared toward helping agricultural producers with their business decisions.
- Assist on special projects as assigned.

DURATION OF WORK |
Through the end of the 2024 spring semester, with an opportunity to continue in the position beyond that period. |
STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS |
Enrolled as an undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, sophomore or higher, preferably in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. |
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE |
Video and audio production, graphic design or social media/email marketing experience or coursework is a plus. |
SCHEDULE |
Flexible, with some work able to be completed remotely. Weekly access to Filley Hall on East Campus during regular business hours is helpful. |
